Mary Louise Parker has landed a new role for television, this time as Suzy Gainsborough, an ailing woman whose husband builds her a Ferris wheel in their backyard, a gift done in remembrance of where he proposed to her. The Christmas-themed movie is another Hallmark Hall of Fame title slated to air on ABC later this year. Filming begins August 5th.
The film, titled Christmas in Conway, is slated to be directed by John Kent Harrison as his 8th Hallmark Hall of Fame film and written by Stephen P. Lindsey and Luis Ugaz.
Parker is best known for last television role as cannabis-selling widow Nancy Botwin on Showtime’s WEEDS. She can next be seen opposite Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren in RED 2, and Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in R.I.P.D.
Christmas in Conway will be Parker’s fourth Hallmark film. She previously starred in A Place for Annie, Cupid & Cate, and Saint Maybe.
