It is getting close to that time of the year when the new crop of Christmas movies and specials are slated to be shown. A few of the movies that are going to be shown this coming season are listed below. Please note that all titles are tentative and there are no air dates as of yet.

The Hallmark Channel USA has several new movies scheduled for the coming year:

Trading Christmas, based on Debbie Macomber’s book, When Christmas Comes, stars Tom Cavanaugh and Faith Ford in a tale of a house trading mishap. Christmas Returns to Canaan finds Billy Ray Cyrus reprising his role of Daniel Burton and The Case for Christmas stars Dean Cain as a lawyer defending Santa Claus. Cancel Christmas stars Judd Nelson as Santa — Santa must teach a couple of boys the importance of giving gifts or else he will be fired.

ABC Family has two new movies scheduled so far. 12 Dates of Christmas stars Amy Smart in a movie about finding true love and the spirit of Christmas. Desperately Seeking Santa is a Christmas romance where a mall Santa needs to be replaced.

On network television, ABC has scheduled Have a Little Faith. The movie is based on Mitch Albom’s book of the same name and is about a Detroit Free Press columnist and his relationships with a Rabbi and a pastor. This movie stars Laurence Fishbourne, Martin Landau and Bradley Whitford.
